Marquis Quarles is a senior Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting Analyst, for a major, publicly traded footwear company. He started at the company in 2015 as a credit analyst then transferred over as a staff accountant and quickly rose through the ranks in the accounting department. Today, at just age 31, he’s responsible for preparing the company’s Securities and Exchange Commission filings and financial statements to ensure transparent communication and data with both the feds and investors. When he isn’t crunching numbers at work or studying for the CPA exam, he loves cooking, camping, and tinkering in Excel.
